Simple Audio Secrets: Successful Audio Marketing

By Virginia Culp

If you're an internet marketer then you already that using audio and video in your marketing mix can be an invaluable way to put yourself on the path to exponential revenue growth.

There are really two ways that you can benefit from audio. One is that you have an audio "product", and the second is to use audio as a "marketing element".

First we'll talk about an audio info-product.

One of the simplest and most effective methods of putting your income on autopilot is to create digital products. Since these can be delivered via the internet to a potentially world-wide market AND your inventory can really be without limits, you can sell an unlimited amount of digital audio products to compliment your existing digital product. Whether you write software or craft e-books, audio how-to guides add a new stream of revenue into your bank. If you're not already selling audios, you're potentially leaving money on the table and likely your competitors are. These can be upsells, back-ended products, or even just add additional value to your product.

Second, is audio in marketing.

As a consumer I find it tough when visiting a web site sales page for the very first time. One of the questions that I ask ... is this genuine? More often than not it doesn't even seem like there's a real person behind that HTML and graphics. But when streaming audio is added, the human element has been introduced. Your customers now have a new level of confidence that wasn't there with a text-only sales letter.

Another compelling way to increase this confidence level is to add audio testimonials. Have you ever found yourself wondering if the testimonials are REAL? When your testimonials are audios, your prospect won't be questioning the validity of your customers. And best of all, they don't have to be studio quality productions. So when you receive testimonials, ask if they are able to provide it in an audio (such as MP3).

Other thoughts on using audio in your marketing, include producing an infomercial-style viral info-product. Viral means it's free, and others can give it away. Be sure to refer to your web site URL at the beginning as well as the end of your audio so your listeners know how to find you when they want more.
